Julian Red

For denim labels looking to expand their horizons into fashion, more could stand to emulate Julian Red. The Swedish label better known for its slim cut jeans for men and women is slowly being recognized for its T-shirts, hoodies and cut and sew pieces. According to Tres Bien, they collaborate with a different underground Swedish artist each season to establish a theme and graphical direction.

For Spring 2007 they worked with artist Lisa Bandgren for the rose Rose/Asphalt collection. A dramatic rose graphic permeates the collection, incorporated subtly and sometimes not so subtly in the pieces.

Men's

Women's

(The above were all from Tres Bien in Sweden, but if international ordering is not your bailiwick, don't forget that Blackbird carries some pieces from the men's side of the collection and takes order by e-mail/phone. Look here.)
