In our minds anyway, Christian Louboutin and Pierre Hardy form the dynamic duo of French shoe designers. And while Louboutin shoes are now available around The States in many high-end boutiques and department stores, Pierre Hardy has not quite reached the same level of exposure.
If Louboutin is known for his candy red shoe bottoms, Hardy is known for his stripes. Every season's collection will have one if not several shoes covered in thick stripes.
Of course there are other equally interesting styles as well. His shoes usually come in two varieties: high-heeled and super-high-heeled, but they're known to be comfortable for what they are.
He also designs a men's collection but these are even harder to find than the women's!
As to where you can find Hardy's shoes, Aloha Rag carries a few styles of Pierre Hardy shoes in their shop.
Otherwise, you'll have to head to the Old Country to visit Hardy's shop in Paris or his outpost inside Dover Street Market. To see more of Hardy's collection, see a full stocklist and to get addresses of either of the stores, visit their website.
