Thread Social

It's early yet but one of the clear winners of the summer shopping season has to be Thread Social. After seeing the line pop up in the span of a few weeks at La Garconne, Jake and Madison, we couldn't help but take notice. The line was launched in spring 2006 by Beth Blake and Melissa Akey and grew out of a bridesmaid line the women design named Thread. The dress heavy collection definitely gives a nod to its bridal roots (eyelets and chiffon, anyone?), but is more generally interested in providing cute frocks women can wear from day to night. The line is casual enough to wear outside on a warm summer day but would not look out of place at a swanky cocktail party.
