Welcome Hunters

The Los Angeles retail scene just keeps getting more interesting. On Sunday a reader told us all about Welcome Hunters, a most interesting clothing boutique that opened in Chinatown in early July. Someone at Welcome Hunters did their homework. In addition to carrying well-known lines like Built by Wendy and Earnest Sewn, the shop went (far, far) out of its way to introduce us to some new, cool labels.

Our favorite designer from their lineup is Best Behavior. The shop is currently the only US stockist for the stylish Danish label.

In fact the store is quite heavy with Scandinavian names, carrying Jenny Hellstrom and Casmose Copenhagen (pictured below).

For accessories, there are the quirky jewels of Italy's Babbu. We're thinking Betty Boop would be a fan.

And if those aren't quite audacious enough for you, then you're asking for some nu-rave. We're not sure we could pull off Kokon To Zai's clothing, but their accessories sure are fun!

Welcome Hunters is taking 60% off all summer stock through Sun, Sept 9, and they're having a fall collection party on Sat, Sept 8 at the LA store.
