Shigenobu Twilight is the debut fragrance of artist Anicka Yi and architect Maggie Peng. Inspired by Fusako Shigenobu, former leader of the Japanese Red Army, who was believed to be exiled in Lebanon. Cedar, a national emblem of Lebanon, is the base note of the fragrance. Each bottle comes encased in a hand-cut block of cedar--a gorgeous fragrance presentation if we've ever seen one.

Easily the most interesting store we saw this last time in New York was Brooklyn's CB I Hate Perfume. The perfume gallery and laboratory of perfumer Christopher Brosius displays a series of fascinating accords (single scents like blood orange or dandelion) and perfumes (blends of various accords). Naturally you'll need to visit for full effect but his fragrances are available for purchase online and many of the perfumes are also sold in small sizes.
Start with these and if you like them you can come in for a consultation to blend your very own custom perfume! It's not cheap (anywhere from $125-400 depending on the complexity of your formulation) but doesn't cost as much as you would think considering you're getting a one-of-a-kind fragrance.

And some sporty T-shirts and sweatshirts from the "DSM Sports Space."
"Hepburn reportedly like (the fragrance) so much she forbade the coutourier from releasing it to the public for four years, hence the name, L'Interdit, or 'Forbidden'."

If you read the same sites we do, you might have heard about Comme des Garçons new line of "Guerilla" perfumes. At perfumes, made for both men and women, debuted at Dover Street Market on July 20th. Well, we just thought we'd let you know that these are now available online through Colette's website.
Quoting their site:
Guerrilla 1: A unique blend of clove and pear with saffron shading. Based upon notes of musk and wood essence, the underlining force of this fragrance comes from a champaca flower, a descendant of the magnolia flower.
But wait, there's more:
Guerrilla 2 : Complete with active ingredients including a distinctive rose pepper and ginger sweetened by bergamot oil. This is essentially a spicy mix which is centered around musk and wood, with tuberose and raspberry.
