We're going to be taking this week to work on some site improvements, so no posts from us unless something really juicy comes along. See you next week!

We'll be visiting the Bay Area from mid-week through this weekend. If there are any new shops we should see, people we should meet or events we should know about, please let us know.

We're taking a week off the blog to attend to some shopping guide updates so we'll see you all back here on February 25th. P.S. If you have any great suggestions for the shopping guide, this week would be a great time to make them.

Around this time in years past we've usually taken an extended break. This year though instead of not posting at all, we'll only be posting quick bits and sale/event notices for the next 3 weeks. We'll return to our full version on Monday, January 14th, with dozens of shops to add to our guide, tons to report on the shops already in our guide, and maybe a new trick or two up our sleeve. FYI: expect little to no posting this week as we complete our move to New York.

You may notice one or a dozen changes we've just made to this here website. We'll let you find most the changes yourself but we'd like to highlight a few points.

• This update was designed mainly to make it easy as can be to make comments, manage favorites, suggest stores and otherwise participate in Jargol. Whereas before commenting required registration now it can be done anonymously. Whereas before adding and editing favorite stores and brands was rather cumbersome now it can be done with one click.
• You might notice the articles section has disappeared. But the latest interviews we did have not! Just go to the interviews area of the blog and there they are in their entirety.

Enjoy and please let us know if you find any problems or have any suggestions.

We often want to highlight a singular something without talking much about the designer that designed it or the store that's selling it. We've mostly ignored these one offs but from now on we'll posting/tagging them as "quick bits." A picture, a link to the designer and store, a quick description if absolutely necessary, and that'll be it.

Next week is going to be considerably busier around these parts.

• We'll be publishing two great designer interviews we're very excited about.
• The first spring and pre-spring collections will start trickling into stores, which we'll be sure to feature.
• We'll start adding the first series in a slew of new stores to our guide that should see it expand by 75% in the weeks to come.

Unless some great sale shows up that we need to report, these last few posts will conclude our posting for the year. Come back on January 2nd for regularly scheduled programming. Happy New Year!

So that will do it for this week. We will probably be posting a few times next week, though we imagine a lot less than usual. Regardless, you'll definitely want to check in at the start of the year as sale season will have started in earnest and we will be listing all the great savings daily. We also have several designer interviews that we'll be publishing very soon that we're quite excited about.
