  • After working in fashion production and as a design assistant for many years, Swaim Hutson founded menswear collection Obedient Sons in 2002.
  • In 2007, Swaim re-launched the label in New York City with a new focus on classic tailoring, a new line of womenswear, and a new design partner, his wife Christina Hutson.
  • Obedient Sons & Daughters is known for classic clothing with a conservative yet provocative flare, reminiscent of prep school and summers spent at Cape Cod.
  • In January 2008, the Hutsons closed Obedient Sons & Daughters due to a lack of financial backing, but announced their decision to design a similar, yet independently-owned venture for Fall 2009.
