  • Founded by sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy in 2005.
  • Both sisters come from academic backgrounds, having graduated from the University of California at Berkeley.
  • Equal parts fantastical and classical, collections are variously inspired by slasher movies, Japanese anime and 18th century painters.
  • Collection is impossibly detailed and exceedingly laborious to construct, with dresses that often take tens of hours to produce.
