When a local artist wanted to do an art installation by rearranging all the books in a bookstore by color, Adobe Books agreed and the result was magical. Can you imagine a corporate store ever agreeing to such a thing? The delightful bookstore with an art gallery in the back is a space where books, art and people can peacefully coexist. First and foremost are thousands upon thousands of used, sometimes rare, books stacked to the ceiling. Somewhat hidden, the backroom gallery hosts intriguing shows several times a year. More importantly though, the shop is an anchor to the community, a meeting place of local characters and talents.
