When an inset, half-hidden store is packed with men and women, young and old, it's usually a sign that they're doing something right. In Atys' case, they're doing everything right. The industrial design outfit has put together one of the most compelling collections of items we have ever seen. Not content to just carry items from a few major European design houses and call it a day, the owners handpicked pieces come from a variety of sources. A table running the length of the store is the stage for dozens of elegant personal tools, accessories, jewelry and tableware including a stainless steel version of EVERYTHING. Around the table are several groupings of other items like vases, furniture, bags, fireplace accessories and clocks. Mixed in are select vintage pieces (including beautiful Danish teak). When do you know a design store is doing a good job? When you're seriously considering buying a log holder and you don't even have a fireplace.
