Beacon's Closet

We're not sure who this Beacon character is, so perhaps Beacon's Closet should be renamed Every-Hipster-In-Brooklyn's Closet. The large, oft crowded, dependably lively store is a used and vintage clothing shopping free-for-all. Some of the selection is used: trendy tops, jeans, jackets from modern brands and chains, some is vintage: well-worn T-shirts, classic shoes, an abundance of Dacron and Polyster shirts, ties and blouses. All of it is cheap, under $15, under $10, sometimes even under $5. Browse, dig, try on, have fun. The Park Slope location lacks the grandiosity of the Wiliamsburg store and carries only a fraction of the inventory, but is still worth checking out when in the neighborhood.
