At Blackman Cruz the objects either came from dead people, are made from dead people or animals or could easily kill you. By objects that came from dead people we of course mean antiques, but Blackman Cruz' selections are decidedly dark or just pain odd--framed mug shots, any number of phalluses, industrial tools and so on. Made from people or animals are everything bronze dipped skulls that decorate table lamps to as is decorative items like whale vertebra. As you peruse these and other wonders remember to tread carefully--lest you impale yourself on a tusk or shiv. As the antiques have come and gone the shop has taken some of its favorite pieces and developed a line of furniture and accessories around them--a wingback chair, an iron mirror and leather club chairs lend old world gravitas to any space they encounter.
