Capitol Hill Books
Dewey (think decimal system) would like have a coronary if he ever found his way to Capitol Hill Books. The cozy two-story house is overrun with books, with no nook left unfilled. The books are categorized using small scraps of paper, by category, by author, or by whatever the proprietors felt like at the moment. The law books come with a long diatribe concerning nasty lawyers and mobile phones, the cook books are in the kitchen, while the foreign language section is in the bathroom (not exactly the best way to promote friendly relations but whatever). Don't let your claustrophobia get the best of you though, there are some great books to be found. Rare and out-of-print books are everywhere you look, as are ridiculously low-priced modern titles.
