Some people have a very specific idea of what they want and they're willing to search high and low to find it. And when they can't find it, they're willing to open the factory to make it. In the case of Danny Dean Davis of Dean it was the search for "a wide leather watch band with a vintage feel yet modern sensibility", that lead to Dean. We weren't searching for a watch (which they have plenty of), but were thankful that such a small item lead to the bags at Dean. Made in modern shapes, in multiple colors, the bags remind us that there is something to be said for one-of-a-kind and handmade. No seriously, you can hear and see them making the items in the back. Considering the amount of labor, the prices are amazing. Now only if we could convince them to consider shoes . . .
