Rarely does a shop come along that mixes several themes so flawlessly and naturally as Empiric. The shop's own line of 1940s style furniture forms the base of the store. The new sofas, tables, storage units and beds in the line are classic '40s with simple, sleek lines and an air of seriousness to them. Interspersed among these are furnishings and accessories of a distinct industrial flavor like steel desks and storage units. Vintage accessories like mirrors, lighting and barware draw from innumerable eras and aesthetics and could fill a store all by themselves. And then just for kicks look for myriad curiosities centered around a medical theme such as beakers, flasks, anatomy diagrams and ceramic head models. Phew, wrap your head around that.
