Fishs Eddy
You know what's as American as apple pie: the dishes that most diners serve their pie on. Fishs Eddy calls the stuff "American sturdyware". The heavy, homey, sometimes quirky tableware can be found in lodges and diners, hotels and steakhouses across America. Fishs Eddy saves the stuff from an untimely death and sells the simple, classic pieces at great prices. The usual settings are there (dinner plates and glasses, forks and mugs), along with more unique pieces (milk bottles, vinegar shakers, and sugar pourers). Along with its eclectic vintage pieces the store carries sturdy, new tableware fit for a classic dinner and barware ready made for an old school martini bar. You can also find a few designer lines. The Union Square location is a flagship store.
