Somewhere in the midst of the feminist movement we forgot the joy of the swish. No, no we don't mean the infamous athletic swish. We mean an entirely different swish. Let us explain. In the ashes of the burned bras we also lost the wives waiting for their husbands, dressed just so with a martini mixer in hand and dinner in the oven--the woman who wore the swish. Certain stores and designers are slowly bringing back femininity. Holiday is a store that understands and celebrates the swish with aplomb. The store looks like a doll's dream house and even smells just right. The clothes are decidedly feminine--beautiful skirts, impeccably cut pants and lacy everything. Holiday is a store with a definite vision--a vision that we hope will allow women to dress like women. After all we are women--we can manage the swish of the girl and the swish of the athlete.
