Miki's Paper
A purveyor of Japanese hand stenciled paper, Miki's Paper proves that on rare occasions a store can be a calm, tranquil space. We're not sure why it happens, but as soon as you walk into Miki's Paper the tone and volume of your voice changes. Perhaps it's the thought that you are in the presence of fine art, as you look at walls covered with gorgeous paper, even the plain white paper looking brighter and more beautiful than its plainness generally allows. Perhaps it's the thought that people still care enough to make something by hand. Perhaps it's that you can actually take some of the paper home with you (without maxing out any credit cards). So, mock our description for its excess emotionalism, but make sure you stop by Miki's Paper before you send us complaints. We're confident that after stopping in you'll send us origami, not complaints.
