Oak
The best clothing shops are really good filters. It's one thing to seek out and stock the hippest labels. It's another thing entirely to irreverently edit these lines to find those handful of pieces that are both stylish and versatile, today and next year. And that's what Oak does. First to go are impractical colors--maybe 75% of the store is black and various shades of gray. Next to go are unimaginative versions of trendy silhouettes. If the bubble skirt is on trend one season Oak tends to pick versions that are different and creative enough to stand on their own long after the trend has passed.
