If you need elaborate displays, too-cool-for-school salespeople and obnoxiously loud rap music to create a "hip" clothing store, you're doing something wrong. Here's an idea--let the clothes do the talking. Witness Scout. One long, narrow store. One side women's, the other side men's (praise Jesus). A selection of (casual, stylish) clothing from up-and-coming locals and lesser-known European labels. Funky vintage clothing in a backroom. Rap and indie rock played at eardrum friendly levels. An honest, helpful staff. Need we say more?
