Vagabond
With each city we visit, we're constantly impressed by the amount of local fashion talent just waiting to be discovered. For the city of Philadelphia, Vagabond is where all the interesting local wares seem to congregate. The eclectic boutique is filled with designs from locals, a knitwear line by one of the owners, the store's own line of skirts and dresses, a slew of under-the-radar lines from New York and LA, funky handmade jewelry and even a selection of luxurious yarns for the do-it-yourself crowd. This isn't haute couture and it isn't pretending to be. It is however a fun, funky mix of casual, relatively affordable, often handmade clothing and accessories that beats the hell out of automaton fashion as prescribed by the prolific casual chain stores.
