Velocity Art & Design

If the Experience Music Project and the Seattle Public Library didn't convince you, Velocity Art & Design should settle the issue: Seattle is a modern design friendly sort of town. The store is a vivacious and varied collection of furniture, accessories, personal items and art. Velocity understands that modern doesn't need to mean scary looking furniture in bright colors. Tables include bent ply magazine tables, oak and metal dining tables and maple and steel work tables. Pillows could have retro patterns or elegant birds or could be shaped like a deer. Overlooking the furniture are a constantly changing display of paintings and prints. Not only does the mix make for some interesting browsing, but it also suggests eclectic pairings and juxtapositions that we'd be hard pressed to think up ourselves.
