Modernists tend to use "contemporary" as a bad word, a synonym for boring, ordinary, unremarkable. The furniture of Weego Home is contemporary without being all those other things. Just stepping into their space will convince you of that. The store's extensive line of sofas and furniture, some of it in-house, some of it from others, has just the right amount of flare to make itself known in a space. In the upholstered pieces this comes from the use of bold patterns, textures and colors on the fabrics. In the wooden and metal furniture there is the use of unexpected shapes, stains and materials (a table with a clear glass base, a chair supported on thick metal tubing)--not so much that you'd expect to see it at LA MOCA but enough to make a space more stylish and interesting.
