Designer Profile: Dries Van Noten

After graduating from the Rolay Academy of Antwerp in 1980 Belgian Dries Van Noten started his eponymous label in 1986.
Van Noten's work came into prominence in 1988 in a show in London as part of the Antwerp Six collective.
While starting in menswear, the label now designs men's and women's read-to-wear and accessories.
While Van Noten's work can embrace Belgian minimalism at times, it is usually rather more eccentric, playing with prints, colors and layers.
In 2008, Van Noten won the International Award of the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
